The Team

Allan Kaye

Allan is a co-founder of The Optical Centre. After qualifying as an Optometrist in South Africa, he furthered his studies in the UK and US, specializing in Contact Lenses and Low Vision in the respective countries. He is based at our Sandton branch, but available for Low Vision in Hyde Park on Wednesdays and Friday mornings.

Ivan Etkin

Ivan, the other co-founder of the organisation, qualified in South Africa, but also confirmed his status as optometrist in the UK. He is practicing in Sandton City exclusively.

Danelle du Plessis

Danelle, who practices at our Sandton branch, not only satisfied the requirements for her Optometric degree in South Africa, but is also certified in binocular vision from the UK.

Conrad van Tonder

Conrad, who initially qualified as Optical Dispenser, is now the resident Optometrist in Hyde Park.

Alon Abadi

Alon started off the latest practice in our group at Blubird Shopping Centre (Birnam) where he practices as Optometrist.

Patrick Lynch

Patrick, our Dispenser, is based at Sandton City where he manages the in-house workshop.
